Hello all, I feel compelled to submit this much deserved review on Pressing Issues.
I am a long time comic book collector, have been reading comics, probably WAY too long, to be honest(over 45 years now). I have kept most the comics from my younger days. As of recently, I was wondering how to revive my ole books, so I looked into cleaning and pressing services. I have dealt with several other service providers all over the country, and really lost faith, as the others either took MONTHS to return my sample books, or returned them with little, or no actual changes.
I was on eBay, window shopping a few months ago, and saw an auction which included a cleaned & pressed book, I was impressed enough to ask Where the seller got his book cleaned. Pressing Issues got back to me right away, it was Charles from Pressing Issues himself! I sent in a small batch of my books immediately to test the waters. Within a few days of him receiving them, I had an intelligently presented estimate, with VERY reasonable pricing. I gave Pressing Issues the ok to proceed. Along the way, I received updates, with pictures of the improvements. Communication is key when I have surrendered my prized possession to a stranger.
The turnaround time was very quick. He sent me my books back, packed very securely, and quickly. When they arrived, I opened them up, and closely inspected them.
In one word: amazed.
He already has a second batch from myself, and a third batch is being sorted as I type this review. Needless to say, he has my business from now on! I trust his talents and personality.
